Luminary Labs continues to grow. We’re delighted to celebrate a recent promotion and introduce three new members of our team. Recently promoted
Natalia Allen joined Luminary Labs in 2022 and has been promoted to Engagement Manager. Natalia, a former teacher and school administrator, has led Luminary Labs engagements with the U.S. Department of Education, including the Middle Grades CTE Accelerator and IES Learning Acceleration Challenges. This year, she also led our company’s work-based learning program. Natalia brings incredible knowledge, curiosity, and empathy to every project — helping connect dots and advocate for all stakeholders.
New hires
Anna Pierce joined Luminary Labs as a Senior Designer. She uses design to strategically express daring ideas. Through design, she champions intention, design-led research, and accessibility for all. Anna was a graphic designer for Lone Mountain Land Company, a land development and real estate company in Big Sky, Montana, and she recently completed an MFA in Transdisciplinary Design from Parsons School of Design. Anna is supporting engagements across multiple focus areas, as well as Luminary Labs’ branding and marketing.
Bernadette Dossett joined Luminary Labs as an Open Innovation Associate. With her analytical thinking, curiosity, and creativity, she can break down complex problems and explore innovative solutions for our clients. Before joining Luminary Labs, Bernadette was an Analyst at an early-stage Swiss venture capital firm, where she helped identify the most promising health-tech startups in Switzerland. Bernadette is currently supporting engagements in our future of health portfolio, as well as the Middle Grades CTE Accelerator.
Ellie Kiernan joined Luminary Labs as a Senior Associate. She has created human-centered, actionable strategies for multisector clients; this background helps her identify connective patterns and cultivate shared value among cross-functional stakeholders. Prior to joining Luminary Labs, Ellie led consulting projects at C Space, tackling the strategy and innovation challenges of Fortune 500 companies and nonprofit organizations. Ellie is currently supporting a new open innovation challenge exploring the future of school and education infrastructure.

Across clients and topics, our day-to-day consulting work includes conducting desk and design research, mapping ecosystems, building scenarios, engaging stakeholders, creating frameworks for thoughtful and considered decision-making, designing strategic programs — and ultimately, operationalizing and launching new initiatives.
